 Move to Center
This painting was created after an aikido lesson with my Sensei spinning a student around and around like a pot on a wheel.  Aikido is elegant and logical, graceful and intuitive --- requiring much gentle yet intense focus. I wish I had started as a child, willing to play and learn instead of curl up and hide. This piece depicts Aikido teachings about moving to the center, sensing one’s partner, looking in shadows and light and flowing like poetry.
